Meet Sunny & the Dudes, the Vancouver dance-rock band known for blending storytelling, infectious melodies, and a contagious energy that makes any crowd bounce.
Meeting through mutual friends, the band has been submerged in Vancouver’s music scene since 2019. Highlights since then have included grabbing third place in the Live Acts “Best in Vancouver 2021” competition (Held in 2022), AND selling out some of the city's most iconic venues like The Roxy, Portside Pub, and The Fox Cabaret. Their sound is a delicious mix of funky soul, indie rock, and a little bit of whatever makes you move, Dude.
Sunny & the Dudes is fronted by the magnetic David Valade (lead vocals/guitar), the multi-talented Matthew Porteous (vocals/keys), dreamy Soph Sauvageau (vocals), hair-flipping Sianne “Sunny” Petrisor (bass), and rhythm powerhouse Braeden Hage (drums).
Musically, they deliver tight, start-stop tunes shaped by many influences, old and new. Think of it as if your favourite 70’s surf-rock groove collided with a 21st-century indie vibe, sprinkled with electric breakdowns.

Currently, the five are holed up in their East Vancouver studio cooking up something fresh: a 6-song EP slated for release in LATE 2025. Catch them live on MAy 23 at THE FOX. Trust us, you don’t want to miss this.
